Discover a mindful way to build strength, stability, and flexibility with our Reformer Pilates classes. Using the specially designed reformer machine, you'll work with spring-loaded resistance to support and challenge your body. These classes are fantastic for enhancing core strength, improving posture, and developing a deeper awareness of your movement. To ensure you feel comfortable and can progress at your own pace, our Reformer classes will be clearly labelled: Foundations: Perfect if you’re new to the reformer, returning after a break, or simply prefer to focus on the fundamental principles. We’ll guide you every step of the way. Dynamic: For those familiar with the reformer and looking to explore more flowing and challenging sequences. Modifications will always be offered to help you make the practice your own.
We like to keep things straightforward, which is why this group of classes is simply labelled 'Yoga'. These sessions offer a diverse range of styles, reflecting the wonderful individuality of our teachers. Each class will be clearly marked as either Dynamic or Gentle, so you can choose what your body and mind are calling for. Everyone is welcome, from seasoned yogis to complete beginners. If it's your first class, just give us a heads-up so we can offer some extra guidance and make you feel right at home. Dynamic Yoga will invite you to explore a more active and flowing practice, building warmth and energy as you move with your breath. Gentle Yoga offers a softer, more mindful pace, perfect for those moments when your body or mind needs a little extra care. It's ideal if you're returning to movement, looking to explore foundational postures with greater attention, or simply seeking a class that helps you move more mindfully.
Immerse yourself in a deeply restorative Sound class, designed to soothe your nervous system and guide you towards inner stillness. You’ll be invited to rest comfortably and receive a soothing soundscape, often featuring a blend of guided meditation, alchemy crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, and chimes. These healing instruments emit gentle yet powerful frequencies intended to meet you where you are, fostering a sense of profound connection, deep rest, and quiet restoration.
Our Yin classes offer a beautifully different pace to our more active Yoga sessions. Here, you’ll be invited to settle into longer holds, sometimes up to several minutes, accompanied by a soothing soundtrack, deep breathing, and often the gentle glow of candlelight. Think of it as a slow-moving meditation, a chance to lovingly repair and connect with both body and mind, encouraging deep release in your connective tissues.
Join our SOMA Breath classes and discover the transformative power of your own breath to cultivate deep calm and balance. This unique practice combines yogic Pranayama techniques of rhythmic breathing and breath retentions with brainwave entrainment music (binaural beats) to gently guide your nervous system into a state of profound relaxation. Grounded in research and collaboration, including a recent study with the University of Cambridge, SOMA Breath offers an incredibly insightful and releasing practice – the perfect antidote to the everyday hustle. It's designed to bring your mind and body into a state of harmony and peace from within. Important Considerations: For optimal comfort and focus, it's best to practice SOMA Breath on an empty stomach. Please avoid heavy meals for at least 2 hours prior to your session. Contraindications: SOMA Breath is not suitable for individuals who are pregnant or have conditions such as epilepsy, cardiovascular issues, or severe COPD (lung conditions).
Feel empowered as you build resilience and move with greater freedom in our Strength and Mobility classes. These sessions are mindfully designed to be low-impact, combining the benefits of building functional strength with movements that enhance your body's natural range of motion. Using a blend of bodyweight exercises, light weights, and dynamic stretches, you’ll work on controlled sequences to strengthen major and supporting muscle groups, while also focusing on improving joint health and easing of movement. Expect to cultivate not just physical power, but also a deeper connection to your body, allowing you to build strength and enhance your mobility in a way that feels good, supportive, and sustainable for everyday life.
A beautiful way to connect with your core and cultivate mindful movement from the ground up. Mat Pilates is a low-impact practice that promotes strength from within, enhances stability, and improves flexibility and postural alignment. It’s wonderful for awakening those smaller, supporting muscles we often forget, and can be a fantastic aid in rehabilitation through careful stabilisation. Many find it the perfect partner to support and deepen their yoga practice too.
